How To Achieve Happiness In 4 Easy Steps

Research has proved that happiness is like the cholesterol level - genetically influenced but also influenced by the things we do. Studies show that financial status, external circumstances and life events account for no more than 15 percent of our happiness quotient, therefore the true way to happiness lies within us. In other words, we can develop a happier disposition by changing our attitude and introducing certain activities or changes into out lives.

TO BE HAPPY ...

1. You must have someone to love.

2. You must have something meaningful to do.

3. You must have something to look forward to.

4. You must have someone to laugh with.

Happiness doesn't depend on being in a certain set of circumstances, but rather on having a certain set of attitudes.

Happiness is discovered when we leave loving footprints in the lives of others. If you look for the secret of happiness outside, it will be difficult to find true happiness as you will be dependent on external factors. Happiness needs to come from within yourself.


For true happiness, accept yourself as you are. Accept others as they are. Then, work on evaluating the situation, plan your actions and act on your plan. In the words of Rabindranath Tagore, "The burden of the self is lightened when I laugh at myself".
